Another Friday off day
Saturday, 24 October 2020 02:25This is a bit of a photo-heavy post. I'm really excited about the iPhone 12 Pro (the camera!) and am waiting for it to come out here (30-October). I'm gonna upgrade my XR to the 12 Pro. My XR took a leap of faith and fell off somewhere, now it has a cracked screen. One corner is now starting to crumble as well, LOL. My apple care is still valid, so once I've got the 12 Pro, I'll send the XR in for screen replacement, and then will just leave it for Dad, since he mentioned his phone is starting to get wonky.
I know there are other phones (Huawei) that have a better camera even (a friend as it, so I know) but I really cannot get used to the Android system. So I shall continue to suffer and be a slave to "the company that grows apples" (LOL suddenly remembered Forrest Gump)
I scrammed out for lunch with some colleagues (they are working, I'm off) and after that I walked past this new "nut tea" place. I still have no idea what I ordered. I'm convinced it's a cashew nut milk, but the name used in Chinese is not the word I know for cashew nut. I shall ask a friend later. It wasn't too bad. But I think I'd rather have the Chinese style sweet dessert 糖水 instead of these diluted milk drinks.
This monster of a building where my office is at. LOL.
Just outside the Government's Palace. Or now, the Government Headquarters.
I thought I read in the news that since the international racers have decided not to participate in the Macau Grand Prix, it's gonna be cancelled this year, but I see them putting up the barriers for the Grand Prix. Huh. Only for local racers? It would have been nice to cancel for a year and leave the traffic alone. With this, again, we have to endure 4 days of abysmal traffic.
I met another couple of friends for dinner. We had Vietnamese food. We ordered quite a bit and the lady was worried we will have a lot of leftover and wastage... but.... we finished that all!
On the way home, just as I walked past Wynn Macau, the fountain show came up.
Another night shot.
Same monster building but from further away. Some they say the concept is that of a sword, some say it's a feather. I say it's a pineapple.
Oh, over dinner, a friend brought over these crispy chocolate cookies that she ordered from an independent home-baker. It's actually quite good, not too sweet. Just the right level of yummy.
