A Wasted Saturday
Saturday, 24 October 2020 23:49It's been ages since I had last been a total couch potato (though I think in my case I was more of a bed potato... and no TV) but today more or less, I just laid in bed the entire day.
It felt good! LOL! Once in a while being lazy is nice. Though I suspect by tomorrow I'll be restless...
So the morning was spent laying in bed and Frankie decided to hop in with me LOL
A bit later, even Max came up and Frankie and Max had a proper fight!
And then we went out for lunch. We went to the Food Court area of the neighbourhood market. I always disliked the concept of a food court as people are just sitting there hogging the tables... There's numerous food stalls, noodles, rice, waffles, desserts...
We eventually found a table and our stall of choice was the clay pot rice. What's the best part of a clay pot rice? The burnt rice!
I even had a dessert: Tofu-fa, basically it's a bowl of tofu with a syrup, so it's a dessert. The tofu used is different, a soft, smooth, tofu that can't be used for cooking. Yum. I also got a Chinese dessert soup, Black Sesame Soup 芝麻糊for take away for later.
A couple of shots of some random buildings on the way home.
After this short outing, it was back to home. Just lazed on my bed. Ah. It was fun. The not so fun thing is I accidentally fell asleep, so, I foresee tonight I'll probably have a harder time falling asleep. Oops.
Soon, it's dinner! Dad overdid himself again. Prawns (are those prawns? I tend to call those shrimps).
And of course, there's that Black Sesame dessert I mentioned. Though, looking at the color, it's not dark enough, so it doesn't taste enough of black sesame. I'll get the same thing from another shop on Monday maybe so I can compare, but the best one I've had so far was in China.
