1. What’s starts off difficult but gets easier?
Hm... I guess... riding a bike? Last year, I went to Shikoku, Japan and in one of our wanderings into the islands (Naoshima, I think) we rented bikes... as I hadn't ridden on a bike since forever, it took some time to get used to, but slowly it got easier. The best was, that was a half motorized bike, it helped a bit when going up the slope, but after we went to the highest point, the going down was.... SCARY BUT SO MUCH FUN!
2. What’s exciting in the beginning and end, but dull in the middle?
Flight. It's exciting when you just take off, because you (or at least, I) plan what you are going to do, what movies to watch, what books to read, but then as the flight goes on you just get bored, and try to nap for a bit, or hunt for snacks in the pantry. Then when you are landing it's all exciting again because... YOU ARE THERE!
3. What’s delicious at first but progressively worse as you go along?
I can't think of anything on this. But I would say I'm always stupid with Coca Cola and Lobster Soup. The idea of a cold can of Coca Cola is very tempting. I buy one and upon the first sip, I remember... I hate Coca Cola. Same as Lobster Soup. It sounds like such a good idea, until I have my first sip and it's yuck, and I feel so sorry for myself.
4. What makes you feel terrible while you’re doing it but great when you’re done?
I don't know. If I feel terrible while doing it, I probably wouldn't be doing that in the first place. Maybe a massage? I can't really stand massages as I think they hurt more than they soothe, but when it's over, it's good.
5. What did you once do quickly but now do slowly?
Read. I used to loan books from the school library every other week. I was a fast reader. I was voracious! Now, I'm a slob.
