From the
thefridayfive:
1) What was the best part of your Halloween this year?
Not a holiday nor a celebration for us. Didn't really do anything.
2) What is your best Halloween memory of all time?
See #1. Not a holiday nor a celebration.
3) What are the three things that you enjoy the most about the fall season? (If you are in the southern hemisphere, you can substitute "spring season" if you like.)
Although we have 4 seasons in Macau, they are not the distinct typical 4-seasons. Autumn is cool and dry. I love it. But we don't get the red foliage (not the type of trees we have around here i guess)
4) What is your favorite autumn memory?
Usually when the weather starts to cool down then my Dachshund mix "Menina" turns lively again. She has a heart condition that makes her slightly lethargic if it's too hot, so she likes the cool temperatures better, and starts running around again.
5) If you could travel anywhere to experience autumn, where would you go and why?
I was in Japan twice for autumn. Yellowing Gingko tree leaves and the red maple tree leaves. Terrifically pretty sights to see! But I'm sure if I live with that every day I'll find it a nuisance (needing to sweep them away, slipping hazard if it rains, etc...). I'm a practical person, LOL.
And from F.riday5.com : Stick'em up!
1. When were you a stick in the mud?
I actually had to search what this meant. I don't think I was ever THE stick in the mud... I just don't resist change for the sake of resisting change. I am for changing for the better, but when it's obviously futile, then it's a "why bother" attitude more than anything.
2. What’s a real stick-to-your-ribs meal you enjoy?
Also had to search what this meant, LOL. I suppose I'm not so good at English as I keeping thinking I am...
I'm actually a carbs lover. I love carbs. I avoid carbs, especially for dinner, but I LOVE CARBS. I complain when Dad makes spaghetti for dinner. I also don't like it when they serve fried rice for dinner. If it's like, food serve with rice, I can skip the rice. But I can't skip the rice if they are serving fried rice. Like spaghetti. I can hardly just eat the meat sauce. But I love that. Bread too!
3. When did you most recently regret sticking around for something?
Every Sunday. Obligatory Sunday Family Lunch. It's obligatory but half the cousins keep missing it. I think I should do it as well. The Moms and Aunts (they are siblings) get together to gossip, nothing to do with us anyway...
4. When did you recently navigate a sticky situation?
There's a lot of those at work. Not worth mentioning anyway.
5. What recently gave you sticker shock?
I had no idea what it meant. But after checking that out, erm... that mini maple tree leaf plant? It was super expensive actually. But that's on me, LOL coz I didn't ask for the price. I just took the plant to the cashier LOL.

Date: 2020-11-07 21:17 (UTC)The mini maple leaf tree is cool! It's not a bonsai unless, left alone in a natural state, it grows into a regular sized tree. Bonsais maintain their tiny stature because the roots are trimmed from a young age, and they must be repeatedly trimmed every so often. Yeah, they take a lot of patience! :)
