Just pre-Christmas stuff
Thursday, 24 December 2020 20:10Home baked Christmas Cookies!
Every year, my two very good friends and travel buddies, C and P always come together for a lunch or a dinner on the 24th of December. P is the one that said "it's gotta be on Christmas Eve". Fine. We do that every year. We even had this year's planned out until just a couple of days ago P backed off and asked to move it to another day (26th, Boxing Day). C and I were a little stumped, coz we usually planned our days accordingly, and C actually had stuff to do on the 26th. (I suspect she's got a man, or trying to get a man, which is fine, but I'm a bit touchy about standing up friends because of a crush).
Anyway, just because P stood us up (so to say) doesn't mean we can't still go out for lunch on the 24th. So C and I went for lunch, and C brought her sister as well. Had a bit of a good chat. C told me about this restaurant that had its upper level decorated like a camping place and up we went. The food wasn't bad, just the "table" (a log of wood?) was a tad small.
That burger we had was called the "King size burger" or in Chinese, the "5-layer burger" it was huge, difficult to cut up in three, but we managed.
Over lunch, I mentioned about my wrist and the persistent pain it was in the last 2 days. They later suggested for me to go to a Chinese doctor in that area. I guess the doctor is a kind of Chiropractor or something similar.
He explained, but it was all in Chinese (and he had a slight accent), so I have no idea what he meant. I guess I kind of pulled something inside when I walked Frankie the other day, sprained something and some membrane/layer inside has a slight infection. Or something. At least, I see now that the Chinese medicine suction cups thingie doesn't use fire anymore LOL. Before, I remember watching movies, they light a piece of paper on fire and put the paper inside the cup so it suctions to your skin (burn out the oxygen). Now it's all technology and apparatus . But it's so gross seeing that suctioned out spot turn so red!
Culprit! But I still love the little bugger LOL!
Oh, and my friend's place also did some Christmas versions of her cakes! He has a tiny Santa hat!
I'll still be posting tomorrow with all the home Christmas arrangements, but just in case I run out of time to do anything, I'd like to wish everyone a Happy Christmas, if you celebrate it, and if you don't, then Happy Holidays!
