A bit of a new year’s rant?

Duh... Back then, when the internet was a new thing... and the aunties, or, the older generation had them, they (I really mean one of my aunts), simply kept forwarding chain emails. So much so, that I actually gave up on my first email ever (it was a hotmail account) and started another, without giving her my new email, so I could just, not receive her spam.

Many years later, it seems like the email hype has died down.

Then, it was Facebook. But it wasn't too bad. The same aunt had tagged me in some posts, but it really wasn't too bad, so yeah.

Now, we have an extended-family WhatsApp group, with all the aunts, uncles and cousins (in Macau, so Mom's side of the family). And last night was terrible....

This aunt just kept forwarding and forwarding all these New Year's wishes, videos, fly-throughs, photos.... NON-STOP!

Gahhh!!!!!!!! Stop it! Stop it pleeeeaaaaassssseeeeeeee! The same happened during Christmas! It's like every new image/gif/greeting she received she had to send it to the group!

JUst please stop!!!!

I got those chain mails and having read a horror story about them always deleted them.

lol my dad used to send those chain emails all the time, and now he just posts them on Whatsapp. even when I say it's wrong, he's like "well I posted it just in case". Dad, you look stupid.

With his emails, I just had it sent straight to Trash and marked as read, and I mute all the Whatsapp groups I'm in. Extended family whatsapp group sounds horrible, I'm sorry!
