Disgusting dog act alert. Do not read if eating or squeamish.
Guh. Look at this dog!
This is Menina. She is a dachshund mix. A clever stray that simply followed behind me and came to our home this way. She must be some 15 years this year, give or take.
So last night as I was tending to the plants in my room, I saw my cat litter box had 5 pieces of poo that, I knew right from looking at it, that it was Harley the white cat that pooped it and didn't cover them. Coz while he is practically the perfect house cat there is, he is very rude in terms of toilet manners. He doesn't dig and cover his pees and poos!
Anyway, I saw the poo and figured I should clean that up immediately after I put the plants back indoors. (I usually clean the litter box after my shower and before I go to bed).
When I was done and went back into my room... there were only 2 pieces of poo and Menina was chewing and there was a lot of sand scattered around in my room and OH MY F*CKING GOD! THE BLOODY DOG ATE THE POO!!!!!!
YUCK!
We couldn't get our usual cat sand so had to start using a new brand just a couple days ago, and I've been seeing scattered sand for a couple days. I thought it was because the sand is not good and sticks to the cats' paws, so when they leave they would scatter the sand around, but now I know that NOOOOOOOOOO it's not that. It's the bloody dog. OMG YUCK!

Date: 2021-04-02 03:05 (UTC)Indeed I have read that some dogs do that, but we’ve had Menina since the day we picked her up 15 years ago and never once had she shown an interest in eating non-food items. In fact, she’s the pickiest eater but she went to eat poo. Ugh.
Oh yes, she’s a perfectly pet-table puppy. If it were a thing here in Macau, she could have been a dog doctor or support dog or whatever those emotional support animals are called.
