1) Pick one of your favorite movies: what is the title?
This week's questions are not quite for me as I'm not big into movies. But my favorite movie ever I suppose is the Japanese movie Departures おくりびと

2) When and where and with whom did you first see it?
I think I watched it alone in the oldest cinema in town. I figured it was an unknown genre and I would just watch that in the oldest cinema (thus the cheapest). It became instantly my favorite movie.

3) What about the movie makes it one of your favorites?
The topic, the theme, the music.

4) If you've watched this movie since the pandemic quarantine started, how did it make you feel?
I didn't watch this again since the pandemic though. I think I watched it one more time when it was shown on the TV a few years later. But I constantly listen to the soundtrack.

5) If this movie was remade, who would you cast for the five main characters and why?
I'm not much for movie remakes and whatnot, if it were remade, I probably wouldn't watch it again because, I've already watched the movie, I know the basis, I don't need to watch a remake of the same topic, same storyline.

I really liked it! I think it’s because of this movie that, while I try to make vegan choices where I can, I also don’t beat myself up if I couldn’t - coz it all comes to respecting life and not letting things die in vain. That, and the soundtrack!

Mine was and is a pretty brutal one...New Zealand's ONCE WERE WARRIORS. I wouldn't change a thing about it especially the cast. I saw it when it was released in a foreign movie theater in 1995.

I don’t know that movie but I just searched it up and I can imagine it being brutal! But the ending seems to end on an... optimistic(?) note.
