Weekend, weekend

My Boss irritated me a lot on Thursday, and so when he left to go somewhere in China on Friday, I asked my friend J if she had time to entertain me for lunch, and off I went to the University Canteen (of sorts). Food wasn't bad, the hall was amazing, and the ordering system totally futuristic.

I managed to get the entire draft structure of the presentation the Boss wants done. Sent it off to him to have a look over the weekend, then I'll neaten it up and complete it on Monday with the extra information that I had that lady I used to complain about research for me. At least, she can do that.

I went for a... not sure what's the word in English, but it's like a massage, but it's not a massage. Okay. What am I on about? Looking up the term for a translation of 推油 turns out a "Push Oil" thing in English. Does "Push Oil" mean anything to anyone? I tried a reverse search of the term "Push Oil" and came up with some sex toys LOL LOL LOL.

Anyway, it's something like a deep tissue massage, deep enough to be able to unblock the lymph nodes and whatnot. Usually I don't believe in these theories, but indeed after this session my shoulders and lower back feel a lot looser than usual. My legs and calves are still sore, she says I walk too much, so I'll need to do it a few more times, but, I don't know. We'll see. The lady's probably just pushing it so that I use up the store credits faster then she can make me charge it up sooner.

Tomorrow I have plans to go pick up the soap that I made 2 weeks ago. I have to go there and slice the soap. I may also go take another class for making Roseremi Pattern Soap. It sounds interesting and I'd like to at least see how it's made.

Other than that, nothing much going on. I'm still trying hard to not switch the air con on, but it's a losing battle. I think I will switch it on tonight. I made it 1 week without!

Was it tapping or cupping that you had done? I had cupping once, and it was supposed to detox, so it sounds maybe similar?

Oh gosh, I LOVE massage/treatments that really hype up the mystical effects. I always enjoy it, even if half the feelings is just from placebo. Though, your massage sounds like "Lymphatic drainage massage is a form of gentle massage that encourages the movement of lymph fluids around the body." ? Maybe? I've always loved the Reflexology style, that areas on the foot correspond to parts of the body, and massaging those areas can have an effect on the body organs and such... idk if it is real, but it always feels relaxing.

I think that’s it, lymphatic drainage massage, sounds the most similar to what the lady explained (in Chinese).

Yeah I’m actually thinking of going again next month!
