Confirmed covid case in Macau, there's a residential area on lockdown.

Sounds like it's serious and we may will increase the quarantine days and even go on city lockdown.

Ooops.

This is crazy.

Heck, what were those people thinking? The daughter went on a dance competition (or whatever) in China, got sick, got better, came back, then the parents and the brother and her started to lose their sense of smell and sense of taste........ and they didn't think to go see the doctor? They got caught just because they tested positive when they went to renew their test results for future travel. Huh.....

Do you think things are worse than they're reporting in mainland? It's so hard to know for sure because they do such epic lockdowns and mass testing for "just" a handful of officially-reported cases, the sort of numbers that literally pop up daily in other countries. It would seem very unlucky for someone traveling over there to get it if there really are so few cases. Hopefully the alert will be reduced soon and you won't need to do a full citywide lockdown.

I definitely think in China things are worse than reported. There’s just a history of mistrust or cover up in China.

It’s all crazy now. We need to show a green health code to get to work, but the health code system is down, so nobody can show the health code… and nobody can get to work (deep in my heart, I’m actually LOLing because, the irony LOL)

That's so frustrating. I'm really anxious about all of this. My city is at 80%+ vaccinated for the 12+ crowd. But with delta and everything I am just doubting every social interaction.

i've had 3 lockdowns since last year so hope the situation gets better for you
