1. What were you doing in 2001? 2011?
Oh wow. 2001? This LJ was created in 2003 but I really only started writing in 2013. I had to hunt a bit, LOL. I checked my previous blog at Wordpress, nope, and I couldn't recall my login details for Xanga, and then I tried Diaryland, and voila! It's still there. So 2001 was my second half first year, internship, and first half second year of University. As I couldn't load the Diaryland blog at all (it's been archived), I'm just skimming off entry titles and previews with the first line of the entries so see... Harry Potter movies, bemoaning of Statistics (the coursework), etc.... LOL.

2011... I was already in this current job, or company, more precisely. Skimming through the titles, I did my Harbin trip that year, etc... My life seemed pretty much the same as it is now, except that now I've been promoted a few levels up. Same freedom with my work schedule.

Come to think of it, my life is so boring! LOL

2. What's something you've kept going for over a decade?
Working at my current workplace. I started in 2007.

3. What's an anniversary you want to mark down and celebrate?
Huh. I dunno. There's nothing great enough to be "marked" as an anniversary.

4. What would your past self think of your present self?
I suppose pretty impressed? With my background, we were touted as "no-good-future" and "no-easy-job" types (brought up the Chinese way, but not-Chinese, don't read/write Chinese, etc). I spent 2 years and studied Primary school level Chinese, I work at a huge local company, and I work for a prominent person in said company. Despite my obvious weakness in the Chinese language I am still tasked with dealing with his works with the Central Government. Heck, what past self, my current self is impressed with my current self too!

5. What was the first online communality that you loved?
I first started out at Diaryland, but back then, Diaryland didn't have this "Community" aspect to it. MySpace didn't get big over here at all. So the real first "community" I was in was Xanga. It was cool. I actually got to know 2 new local people and got back in touch (for a while) with a long-lost classmate (but then he disappeared again). Of the 2 new locals, I still sporadically get in touch with one of them. Then there's here, LJ, I probably have more LJ friends that I interact with than I have real-life friends. I mean, I have real-life friends that I'm very good friends with and we talk frequently, and then I have a lot of acquaintances and people I know of, and have to interact frequently too, but those are not friends. So I meant I have more friends (in numbers) that I talk to here at LJ, than I do have in real life.

1. What complaints do you have about this weekend?
I don't have any complaints yet. Well. I do have a full body check up schedule for tomorrow which I'm apprehensive about. I'm not too cool with doctors, and am already imagining their condescending talks. (Ugh, I can't see much through the ultrasound because of all that fat - genuinely something a doctor has told me when I was in hospital a couple years back because of appendicitis)

2. What are your grievances with yourself?
Too much of a scaredy cat? I used to be afraid of a lot of things (I'm still afraid of a lot of things. I just pretend I'm not.) and I guess I've missed out on many things because of that. One of them was studying overseas. I was afraid to live away from Mom. And then when getting to Uni the choice was taken off me again because Sis left. And since then I never got the chance.

3. What are your objections to rainbows, flowers, and puppies?
Why should I object to any of those, especially PUPPIES?

4. What are your criticisms about your domicile?
Ah.... this is a touchy topic that I shouldn't say much as I could get into trouble. You know, this is the INTERNET. I live in a city that's considered as part of China but it's not really China. I still maintain that with online shopping it's considered "international shipping" if I have to ship from China to here, so....! LOL.

5 What’s your beef with excessively negative people?
Because of their excessive negativity, other people may miss out on things! Like, Mom is so negative now. Always complaining. Always putting people down. Always criticizing. It just makes me lose interest in whatever I'm doing. It's like, when I was putting on clothes to go running, I was all hyped up. But she came over and asked "oh, you are going running?" And it just sounded condescending to me. Maybe it's not, but then over dinner she said she hates having dinner so late (because I went running so pushed the family dinner a little later). I almost retorted with a "then next time don't wait for me" but it was definitely going to start a fight, so I abstained.

Oh GOSH I'm so sorry 'bout the running negativity. I'm hella self-conscious about Being Seen When I Run and now that there's a vaccine and The Hospital ICUs aren't full? The high school kids line up for their bus at an unavoidable juncture of my morning miles. I HATE THEM ALLLLLLLLLLLLLlllllll

Ha ha, I never heard of diaryland before. XD If I had I probably would have had one because the name sounds cute. My first lj was in 2005? I don't even remember the account name. Then I had another one prior to this but I deleted EVERYTHING.I was never a fan of MySpace I had one but I hardly used it.

Diaryland was also my first online journal. That was a fun place to express yourself and find other people who were interesting.
