So I was strolling around this new project/property that opened just on Saturday. *pssst* it's the one I mentioned I was assisting my Boss with. While walking around, I met the Boss' Mom. So, Boss-Boss.

She looks at me with very worried eyes, and asked me "Why did you quit?"

Huh?

As a side note, this meme has a specific name in Chinese: 黑人問號

I stammered a "I didn't?"

And she replies, "oh, it wasn't you? They said a Macanese has quit, I thought it's you!"

Phew!

Well, don't say I don't know how to butter people up. This was my chance!

"I've sold my soul to the Boss. Unless he fires me, I won't quit. Please tell your son not to fire me!"

She laughs and says "He wouldn't be willing to fire you!"

Of course, I know not to put too much weight on words such as these, but you can't deny it's a bit of an ego boost.

Ah, the dentist called me today, I'm going in tomorrow to try on that... device. So, my teeth correcting days will start soon. Classes are also finally resuming tomorrow. But what a pity! Tomorrow is the Austrian National Day and Dad has a stellar menu planned, but I am going to have class :'( so they are going to eat on time, and I'm going to eat late.
