Hello from 2022! + Friday Five 31-December-2021

elusivekAs most of my friends here are either in Europe or USA, let me greet you with a "HELLO FROM 2022!!!!" May the new year bring good health and happiness to everyone!
I went to the hospital today, nothing in particular, it's just that the general and ob/gyn body check I did back in September had a recommendation that I should get a mammogram and ultrasound so I went to get that done today. As I was waiting, a nurse called out "English name?" and approached the portuguese lady sitting next to me. Well, she was there first, so I'm not complaining. After a while I saw the Portuguese lady leave.
Much later (I waited loooooonnnnnggggg) the nurse started to call something like "Athena" but with a K, so something like "Kathena". She looked at me but didn't ask to confirm and started moving away. So I approached her and said "let me see the name on the board."
But the nurse quickly said "The person I'm looking for is 38 years old".
Before we get too excited that the nurse didn't think I looked 38, let me just remind you, it can go both ways. She might think my head of white hair makes me more 48, or the condition of my skin is so nice lately that she thought I'm 28.

I didn't get to ask her which she thought. So I guess I'm gonna be up tonight just thinking about that. LOL. Not. LOL LOL LOL. As if I cared.
Dinner was extravagant with grilled prawns, the Te Deum wasn't really a Te Deum, it was more of a Filipino mass (they were singing in Tagalog) and then... we had supper?????? It's like, so rare to have supper in our place.
erm... my concept of "supper" is... the meal after dinner? First meal in the morning is Breakfast, noon time meal is Lunch, night time meal from anywhere between 6pm-9pm is Dinner, and anything after 9pm is considered Supper. (I wanted to clarify because I think some people consider "Supper" the real dinner, or something like that)
I really wanted to do the last Friday Five on Friday proper, but the night just got too busy!
1. In 2021, who made you laugh?
I am very easily amused, so I'm sure a lot of people managed to make me laugh at one point or another... but I can't really say right now who made me laugh.
2. What was a pleasant surprise?
My boss sort of had an epiphany in mid-year and suddently did a 180 and became a pretty nice guy (as in, no foul mouth. He's still bratty though). He also seemed to gain more compassion.
3. How have you grown?
I think I've grown better in understanding what the Boss wants and I seem to be able to anticipate his needs more now.
4. What do you forgive yourself for?
I was never really mad with myself? So I have no idea what I can forgive myself for LOL
5. * If you were to get a tattoo to represent the year, what would it be and where would you put it?
* Just answer it! It's a fun question!
Actually, I am thinking about getting another tattoo, I'm just contemplating the what and the where as well. I still firmly believe that since "I'm getting a tattoo for myself", it wouldn't make any sense if I put it on my back, I wouldn't be able to see it. So I've been thinking of putting it either on my thigh or on the side of my leg.... but then it's the what, and I haven't thought it through either. I had thought of my horoscope sign Capricorn, but I think if I get the symbol it would look cheesy, and I wouldn't want the heavy work with an image... I had thought about the constellation, but apparently the Capricorn constellation is huge-ish. So I don't know.

Date: 2022-01-01 12:05 (UTC)Thank you! I knitted it myself, I started some 10 (maybe even 15) years ago as I was a big Harry Potter fan and wanted to knit a Slytherin scarf lol. Took me this long to finish it, it feels a bit childish now, but I did spend 10+ years making it, so fashion sense has to go out the window to make way for sweat and determination lol!!!
