First Glimpse At My Day post, and a Sunday! This is bound to have some interesting sights!

As usual, I wake up to the growth lights that I've set for my plants at around 7am. I stretch in bed and just laze around until 8ish.

I decide to do some yoga and stretches, before everyone else is up, because once people in the apartment start getting up, I'll have no time to do my own stuff.

Since my mornings are pretty much the same, and everyone must have seen that many times, scaled down photos and very quickly: check my plants in my room, wake up the dogs and get them ready for ther morning walk, seeing the cat being almightily condescending from his new box (that we haven't taken the items out yet), getting the dogs to the dog park.

Some new policy nowadays. Government locations, and some public spaces such as parks and major sightseeing spots, you now have to "check in" with your phone. This system has been implemented into the "Health Code App" we have. I have a purple border around my code, that means I got 3 shots. This also tags the location I went to. They say the location information is stored locally on the phone, but, stirring the conspiracy theory pot of soup, do you think it's true? For me I don't really care. It's the government, they can always do whatever they want. They wanna trace me? Go right ahead. Just don't stop me from doing what I'm doing.

After the dog walk, my Sis asked to stop quickly at some other area before going home, because there is word going around that people spotted a sugar glider somewhere. As my Sis works at a shelter, she wanted to take a look. We went there and looked for a bit, but soon I had to make her really think: Even IF she really managed to locate the sugar glider, what did she really expect to achieve with 3 dogs in the car, 2 of which gets crazy seeing a new animal. Also, it was almost 10am, and the dogs had to eat. So she did a quick survey instead, and called back to her supervisor that she couldn't find it in that short amount of time, and we left for home.

Doggie breakfast, and I see Dad has again disregarded our pleas of "NO HUMAN FOOD FOR THE DOGS" and this is me spying Dad sharing his toast with the dog. Not sure if he gave any to the cat.

I look at the plants that are outside, and I find out the glass of Rosemary and Thyme that a friend gave me some weeks ago, the Thyme have started to grow roots, so soon I'll have to re-pot them.

I have breakfast, and this is how I like my eggs; a kind of overcooked soft boiled egg. Almost hard boiled, but the yolk is still damp and slightly runny.

Generally a very lazy morning. Frankie goes to the sofa and takes tissue paper out of the box like it's an everyday thing for him LOL. Nutmeg comes to my room and is obsessed with the window (she found out she can be out in the verandah, and there's a dangerous ledge/space that she can jump over to my room.... if my windows are opened. So now I keep my windows closed. I already have a screen net thing that's for blocking rats, but even that I'm worried the mechanism is not strong enough and Nutmeg can push through it to go out.... so the best thing is, just keep the windows closed at all times.

I boot the first episode of Archive 81 on my Netflix, a colleague has highly recommended it...... very interesting! While I watch that, I also prepare my attire for the day. Forgot to shoot an OOTD, but I decided to go on a pinkish/purple theme today, so I chose some matching stone bracelets as well.

After finishing episode 1, I wanted to continue watching, but figured I haven't been reading much, and I wanted to get rid of this library book ASAP, so, I decided to read instead of Netflix. I'm now reading The Midnight Library by Matt Haig, While prowling the message boards on Goodreads for the Popsugar reading challenge, a lot of people were singing praises for this book... but I don't like it. I just don't like the premises of the book. I do not believe in that kind of thing, so I really don't like it. But I'll read on.

It's Sunday, so it's Obligatory Family Lunch Day, but my aunt has asked for a ride, and if she gets a ride, her son would go with her, so we didn't have enough space in the car. We could have driven the second car, but I didn't want the hassle of driving the second car out as well, because I had to go somewhere in the afternoon that best did not involve a car, because there is virtually no parking there. Sis agreed, so we walked to the restaurant.

Once again, I was in charge of the ordering, but a couple weeks back there was a lunch that I over-ordered and we almost couldn't finish all the food, so I turned conservative this week... and it looks like there wasn't enough food LOL.

After lunch, Sis and I left the restaurant, and we took the bus to get nearer to the city centre. We swung by a Starbucks to get some coffee and headed towards our destination.

The Ruins of St. Paul, the landmark of Macau. I don't remember all the history with the exact years, but it was built in the 1800s by Jesuits, got burnt down twice, with only the facade standing. As a church, the stairs don't match the facade, beause it was rebuilt on the same location and I forgot if the calculation was off, or they didn't care, so they don't match now. AND, as a kid, I was told, it was an act of God, that the church was burnt down, with only the facade standing.... IT WAS A MIRACLE! GOD IS WITH THE CITY!!!!!! Weeeeelllllll..... as I grew up, I studied History myself, and now I can call bullshit. The church building was built of wood. The facade was made of stone. There was a fire. Of course the facade was left standing. I make sure to tell this story whenever someone on Postcrossing asks for a funny story.

Anyway, my Sis and I we had to come to this workshop to pay for some classes we are going to take in February. We're going to make glass candle warmer lamps! This is the third course that I'll be using the government "education fund" money... I should have enough money for one last course, so it's either the soap or the German course, whichever comes first.

On the way back home, we walk through some alleys that I have never been through, but can guess more or less where those would take us, and voila, bingo, we got it right. We wanted to swing by this witchy and stones place to have a look at their new arrivals. All so pretty! But we didn't buy anything.

Just opposite this shop is a new "hip and trendy" "retro" street. Yes, they've changed that street to have a lot of artsy stuff and renovated the area, however, the main items for sale are still old, second hand things, and they've set up a series of stalls to have some newer artsy or handicraft things. It's all part of the tourism bureau initiative (that black mascot bird says it all)

I bought this shiney rock! It's either a Berthierite (natural), or a Black Rainbow Carborundum (man-made). If I believe in what the stall keeper said, that it's a natural stone, then it's a Berthierite. However, for the price of it, it was a bit cheap, so I'm inclined to think it's man-made. But anyway, I was attracted by the sparkles and rainbow colours it exuded!

We had to rush home because Menina needs to go to the vet to get her weekly B12 shots. She was not happy going there. The nurses were all coddling her and saying she's so cute and calm and whatnot... and when Dad opened the door, she ran out straight away and the nurses' jaws dropped collectively. They have never seen a 17-year old Dachshund run this fast. I then reminded them that she's a little red hot chilli pepper, because when Frankie gets annoying, she barks at him really fiercely and he shuts up.

It was still early and we wanted to take the dogs out for their second walk after the vet... but we were really just half an hour earlier than normal... however, as it's the weekend, the regular dog park would have been a no-go because there would be no parking available, as families with kids would be out in the park just next door. We decided to forego the dog park, and went walking in the Rich People Area. It was a nice walk. Lucky there was still daylight, as at night, that road up to the mountain top could get spooky.

Back home, I received notice that one of my Taobao orders arrived, so I went to pick it up... the rest of my Tambourin collection! I've studied, them, it's the authentic stuff. I got a proxy-shopping service from Taobao to procure this hard-to-get cover... it took them 6 months, and I was starting to wonder if I got scammed, or if they will send me bootleg stuff, but in the end it was all authentic. Lucky.

Everything was early tonight. I figured I might as well write on my journals already, with Nutmeg on my lap.

Dinner was a simple Turnip Cake 蘿蔔糕

I decided to do one more hamstrings-stretch based yoga sequence. Nah, that was too hard, I couldn't do that, but I tried. I get up and Frankie comes over and does his own stretch. I wasn't in a good angle to catch him doing that LOL.

Again, there was a little more time tonight than others, so I had a longer routine: a scrub, body yoghurt, foot cream, a 5-minute face mask, then an aloe mask and an eye mask.

Read another chapter in the book, and came here to write this. And it's time to sleep... it's just a few minutes before midnight.

Ugh. I know that Puerto Ricans are supposed to be Americans but for reasons like this, we never call ourselves American and instead say we're Puerto Rican. Alot of Americans have this...greater than thou...mentality. I feel that sometimes they don't think of the immediate future.

ugh... I had to escort one of them the other day and he was downright cocky. One day I really wish I could just reject all these meeting requests just because I felt like! (and then they're going to sue that it's discrimination... oh, how, US!)

I've learned that the best way to go is with directly indirect comments. I don't really know how to explain it. But it's like you mix a compliment with an insult.

For instance, at work one of our checkers was laughing to a customer and speaking about another checker. "I always steal her customers. Shes just too slow!"

The other checker, who was from the Philipines turns around and looks at her. With the biggest smile I've ever seen she says, "Oh Connie, you always do steal my customers don't you!" Then she put on this confused face and says lightly, "It must be because stealing and thievery runs in your blood, isn't it!"

Lol. I've never heard that before but thats interesting! I don't think I've ever heard of a Puerto Rican who actually considered Puerto Rico part of America XD XD.
