Yeah the disconnect from the global internet shouldn't be an issue. It's just like Chinese sites being available to us but certain outside of China sites not being available there although ppl still find a way around. Also, I'm sure LJ would warn us if something big was going to affect their service.

Weird. I heard from my son that it was from March 31 but maybe he had it wrong? Also, if they are just controlling Russians being able to connect to the outside, then livejournal itself is not in peril?

I really don’t know how I should think. If it’s going to be like the China restrictions, it’s still going to have some sort of disconnect — like, although we can use the China services (like WeChat and Weibo) but some functions are restricted. I doubt these restrictions would impede too much, but until it happens, no one really knows.
