And so now this happened…
Wednesday, 10 August 2022 14:28They did lower the T8 at 1pm, so that meant, back at work latest by 3pm. So, I still sat down for lunch with the parents, then saw sunshine and still plants. So I figured, off I go!
Only for it to start pouring 3 minutes out. I didn't really want to go back home (I should have, at least to pick up the rain coat, as the umbrella wasn't much help with the wind that decided to happen now when the T8 is over). I pressed on. Went into a building entrance to wait out the rain.
Eased out a bit, went on my way again.
Half way then it poured again.
Thank you rain boots. If only I thought to bring the rain coat.
Finally reached my company building, then I found out.... i did not bring my access card. *rolls eyes* I could have gone through the public access, but I had a long umbrella and they were likely to not allow me to do so. Though... coming to think of it, they should know who I am and so just let me... but hindsight 20/20 ok. I guess trying out a sneaky adventure is more fun LOL.
But I'm not a staff in the same building for 15 years for nothing. I knew of certain secret passages that took me into the staff corridor, got to my floor, and finally to a door that had a window and I could knock on it and get the reception's attention. Once I got in through this door, my office floor works with both access cards and a number code. So I just used the number code from here on.
The only thing I can't do today is print stuff. Fair enough. I don't think I need to print anything anyway.
