Typhoon Ma-On update

Typhoon signal #8 lowered to #3 at 11:00am. So people are expected to get back to work at 12:00noon.
The genius that I am, saw that it was all sunshine and blue skies at around 9:30am, so I just went to work, thinking, "it's gonna rain when they lower the signal."
What do you know, it's around 11:30am now, and it's pouring out, while I'm happily sitting in the quiet office, not wet, and enjoying working in silence. Yay.

I've been checking the forecast route of the typhoon and although on Monday it was expected to be a direct hit to Hong Kong and Macau, as the days passed and the typhoon progressed, the route was moving consistently more westwards, so now it's just passing due west of Macau.
They hoisted the #8 signal last night at 10pm. I woke up twice during the night, and it was... peaceful, no wind. Now it's 7am and there's been a few bouts of strong winds, but still, overall, not much wind. They will keep the #8 signal hoisted in the morning, so I dont have to go back to the office yet, and depending on when they lower the signal, I might have to go back to the office.
My current task at work is getting flight tickets for the boss to fly to the UK. Yes, I did it. He's going on an MBA course. It's all online but apparently in the first week he needs to show up for whatever. Registration or something.
Thing is, it is September. Everyone that's studying overseas is flying to wherever. There. Are. Not. Enough. Flights. And he's still being choosy. I managed to find one that wasn't that bad, with decent connecting time, and still point to point, but then he says to "make sure it's the nice business that he can sleep in" WTF. You dont' get to choose when you have no choice. Charter your own plane!
Anyway, I smell pancakes. Guess Dad thought with the typhoon and the extra time we have (no work) so he's making pancakes. Going to eat them. Toodles!
