Upping my reading game
Wednesday, 28 December 2022 22:48Despite my having over thousands of books on my Kindle waiting to be read... well. I'm a book hoarder, so 'nuff said.
Sooooooo.... when I mentioned I was using Libby with an existing account, it belonged to my boss at his MBA school. They had some fiction and it was cool and neat to try out the whole Libby app, but... the book selection is more academic.
I took the plunge, and signed up or a US-based library (The Queens Library). Had some issues with getting the account credentials to log in, but once it's been sorted out, it's been a dream.
I've also linked it up with my Kindle, so I can actually send that library book onto my Kindle. Yay. No need to read on the phone or iPad!
As a non-resident of NYC, I had to pay an annual fee of $50, but I figured that's a pretty good deal. I was on Kindle unlimited previously but the selections there are more indie authors or books that aren't that good... and it was $6.99 or $9.99 per month? Either way, I thought the library deal is both cheaper and with better selections.
