I did it! Mom was feeling too under the weather to come out of bed to snack. Dad couldn't drink alcohol because he can't, Sis couldn't drink alcohol because she was on medication, so I was the only one having Baileys. I should have gone to my company's bakery to get the baguette, but I was lazy and didn't want to go all the way to downtown, so went to the Portuguese Bakery just by the neighbourhood market, and the baguette was just... too compact.
I guess I overdid the cheese so the top of the rind was a little burnt, but it tasted marvelous. A great once-in-a-lifetime recipe. Yup. It was great, but I'm not doing it again. (We did a deep-fried whole Brie a couple years back - similarly, it was great, but, once and never again!)
Of course I was a little off with timing and so we snacked that before midnight, and when actual midnight struck, I was doing the dishes, LOL.
