The time has come!
Thursday, 6 April 2023 12:19The time has come that my LJ Paid status is coming to an end, and none of the payment methods seem to be working. Meh.
Seriously.
I really like hanging around here at LJ. DW too, but my friend base is more heavily on LJ.
But I also can't with the ads :-(
Sent a note to their support system (as they say if you encounter issues with payment, you should send them an email) so we'll see what they will do.
London Planning going well. Friend is being pretty docile and cooperative. Also found some interesting restaurants. But planning is a bit tough when you don't know the actual timings for things. I wanted to book a particular restaurant, but they actually have a cancellation fee, so I can only book a slightly later time and then hope for the best that, my previous item would not finish way too early, or, I will be able to find some nearby places to kill time, or they will still honor my reservation for an earlier spot if they have the vacancy for that.
Went for my annual eye check up and nothing going on with my eyes, prescription also stays the same. Huh. I thought my eyesight has worsened for a bit, but apparently not?
I have an ad-hoc trip to Hong Kong tomorrow. It's not for anything touristy things, just, I totally forgot it's the Easter weekend and so I got an extra day off tomorrow. Heck, it was a holiday yesterday as well, so I'm thinking why i didn't take today off, but I digress. There's a couple of shops I want to check out in Hong Kong, and I searched for a restaurant or two, so that I have a choice in case one is full (or both are full then I'll just leave it up to fate). Ah, and there's a Doraemon pop up kiosk at the Times Square in Hong Kong, and I have my eyes on the Furoshiki there. Heck, I just bought a couple in Japan and here I am looking to buy another one LOL.
In Cantonese-speaking audience, Doraemon actually had a name change. It's now very dangerous (joking of course) to talk about Doraemon in Cantonese and inadvertedly slipping up and calling him by the old name, 叮噹 (Ding-Dong)... calling him by that will instantly reveal you're an 80s-90s child LOL. Now, it's called 多拉A夢 (a play on the pronunciation of "Doraemon" so in actuality this combination of Chinese characters don't mean a thing).
Oh yeah and I went to watch the Mario movie yesterday. Weeeeellllll..... let me just say, let's keep Mario just an unbeatable game from my childhood. Also, the parents bringing their kids to see it, it's really not targeted to the children of today. It's targeted to the children of the past; now adults. Nothing (jokes or whatever) were in anyway 18+, but I just thought little kids of today wouldn't really understand the vexing annoyance when that bloody man eating flower SUDDENLY pops up. Do they (kids nowadays) even know about raccoon Mario?
Seriously.

Available for Edge, Chrome and Firefox. And if you only do this stuff on your phone, if you use Firefox Mobile, you can install it on that too.
