There shan’t be a countdown for me

Surprise!
So Mom felt sick on the 28th. She couldn’t sleep well, so on the 29th she decided to go to the health centre to get some medicine. The health centre has a thing that if you’re not there for pre-booked check ups or blood draws, then you have to do a covid test, and she tested positive. When she told us this in the afternoon, I immediately did a test in the office, and it was still negative, but told the colleagues about my Mom’s positive. They were all gung-ho about it, so yeah, nobody really cared.
That night, I started to feel a sore throat and all that. Slept really badly. Once there was light in the morning, I did the test, and ta-da! Positive. Ugh.
The flu itself isn’t too bad, but I’ve got the mother of all headaches.
I’m more annoyed at the timing. I still had 3 days of unused sick leave in 2023 that doesn’t rollover, and I’ve come to get sick over a long weekend. There were stuff I wanted to do!
Best thing is hanging out with the dogs in bed LOL.
This was at one of the parking spots near Sai-Lup’s acupuncture clinic. Like… your “1” has serif… so I don’t think anyone’s going to mix that up to be 91? Nah, what do I know?
I’m also hungry at weird times of the day (not hungry when it’s meal time, but hungry plenty at all other times… like… Right now…!!!!! There’s still an hour to the new year, but I’m not counting down. I’ll just wake up to the new year.
