Just WTF if wrong with my life
Monday, 15 January 2024 21:33The subject of this post is being asked in laughter. Coz if I can't laugh at my misfortune, I'll just be miserable. I'd rather get the laughs out of it.
So.
Oh and I'm adding this cut as an afterthought - avoid if squeamish about bodily functions.
All the medical conditions are just supposed, I haven't been to the doctor, I think that's what's going on with me.
As I wrote before, because of washing Max in a heated up bathroom, I got a heatstroke. Heatstroke induced flu symptoms and almost fainted Saturday afternoon. Then had a hard time falling asleep because I was in pain all over, especially stomach cramps.
Sunday I started to feel better but the stomach cramps were still there. Soon it developed into an all day diarrhea (TMI sorry). Lots of fluids, Pocari drink, etc. etc. Until by the late afternoon it was even more dangerous territory because I didn't know if it was sh*t or fart, so, I lost in the gamble a few times that it was a shart hahaha.
I had planned to go to work today as I thought I was feeling better. A good way to test it was: dog walk.
We got stuck in the elevator for half an hour damnit.
Then we got free and I did a short walk with Frankie, got home, found out I didn't have the home key, and everyone was out. I started to feel like I needed the toilet, so I had to panic dial all the family to ask where they were. My sis was at the health center and the nearest, so I had to rush down with the dog to her, to get the home keys.
On the way back, the dog refused to walk, needed rest, wanted water, I had to carry him, all the usual hijinks. Got home and the elevator broke down again. Our building is a twin tower sort of thing with 3 designated connecting floors, so I got to the opposite building, but then another old neighbor was coming in, so I had to wait for him. And then I felt the need to cough, but I held my cough. When I got off at my floor, I dashed with Frankie over the connecting corridor, but just before I got home, the cough won, I coughed, and guess it, I lost another battle down there LOL.
I should be feeling well enough to get to work tomorrow. There are stuff to do and I still have to pack for my Shanghai trip and there is just not enough time for anything!
I'm a bit worried about my birthday dinner tomorrow though. My ability to consume food has gone down 95%. But I'd still like to meet the friends. We'll see!

Date: 2024-01-16 06:07 (UTC)Ugh, I just had covid 2 weeks ago so it’s not likely, unless I got some other forms of the flu, maybe one of the new ones going around recently. I’m now 98% well again with no coughing or other usual post-flu stuff (so I’m still not convinced I got the actual flu), except for being abnormally gassy, despite not having eaten much.
