This afternoon is going to be so difficult to pass.

Remember I once mentioned randomly about a colleague who's in the upper management and likes good food likes gossip to exchange information? Well, he's randomly caught me out for lunch today with another colleague and geez it was brutal. Expensive Japanese cuisine, and 2 bottles of sake.

For a lunch.

A lunch on a working day.

Crazy.

I'm not tipsy nor drunk though, I feel clear headed enough.

But I feel sleepy as hell.

I'm trying to keep myself awake by streaming a live concert that the network didn't want stream last night. I hope that since it's an artist that I like it would keep me awake, but even that, it's tough going.

I'm also doing one of the most working work ever: filing my scanned documents. Throughout the weeks I've been scanning stuff but no time to file them away, today I seem to have some free time so I'm trying to clear out my scan folder.

In a valiant effort to try and keep myself awake, here's some happenings recently.

Went to make more soap on Sunday. I'm going back next week for the slicing and reveal and we'll see how my patterns came out. See how focused I was!

Cat bugs dog LOL

My friend had a Father's Day mini cake, so of course I got it for Dad.

I was all decked out to watch the "archive live" of a concert by an artist, but the network wasn't running well so I gave up last night. I'm actually streaming it now while I'm in my office LOL. Sound off though. I hope after streaming it once it'd be somehow cached on my phone then tonight I can stream again without all the lags and loading.

And OH! YEAH! My first Kombucha brew after going to that workshop seems to be successful. I'm now putting it in a second fermentation process, but I tasted the initial brew and it tasted correct, LOL. I've since brewed a second batch of tea and hope it will go well.

This should be my last Friday off in a while. Unless, Hong Kong pulls another "extension of border closure" against Macau.

I mean... we are the city with a prolonged 0-infections... they want to do the "trial opening" with China where... they still have numerous infections.... anyway...

Though i did hear that today we got 1 new case (total 46 cases accumulative). Need to read up on that.

Dragon Boat Festival. Yesterday. I'm not going to bother with the legend. But there was some "social activities" yesterday... Dragon Boat race. Company did ask us to participate, but I just skipped.

It's hot. It's sunny. It's brutal. I stayed home LOL.

At night my Mom got us "glutinous rice dumplings".... she was complaining that we couldn't get any free ones this year. These that Mom got this time weren't all that good. Too much pork fat... it had chunky bits of pork fat... I know pork fat is what makes it good, but it's too much... haha...

Right now I'm at a Starbucks out in one of those resort hotels in Macau as a friend has to work today and so I said I'd meet her for lunch there. I have to think about how to get back to town after for my manicure at 4pm. I want to get something more summary... yellow and white?

erm.... so a bunch of my Taobao orders came in... one of them was some desk organizer trays and stuff. It's also fun because you have to put it together yourself; I sometimes fancy myself a pre-amateur hobby carpenter, or something like that (that's why when the mood strikes i like to put a puzzle or a Lego together).

This Taobao order was also made in January before the Chinese New Year, so this took quite A LONG TIME to arrive. But at least it finally made it.

So anyway, I knew that to put this together, if I did it on a regular work day, there will definitely be people walking around and commenting "oh are you working on this? Oh this is cool" and all that and whatnot. So, it being Saturday, I went into the office! And put them together! I also got a pencil holder thing... now I feel like getting a bunch of pens because now I have a lot of space for pens LOL.

I used to have a lot of crap paper on the ends of my desk but I've sorted them out (finally), filed what I needed and shredded the rest. And then in one of this paper "drawers" I've sorted all my blank forms, so no more looking through a stack of papers for a form.

Then I ordered a quick lunch and worked a little bit more on a piece of translation then finally remembered to save it somewhere on the cloud so that I can access it from home. Yes, this was the other, slightly more convincing reason, for me to go back to the office today. I had wanted to work on that file from home yesterday but forgot to upload it, and then since I got that Taobao order arrival, so I decided to go back to the office today, despite it being Saturday.

Now, on the company plan to ask people to clear out their paid time off balance, I've now come up with an arrangement to take a few Friday offs for the next few weeks until end of April. (And then 1 May is a public holiday), then my schedule goes back to normal. Since I know I'll shrivel and die if I take an extended leave (I have almost 30 leave days on my balance), I decided to get long weekends instead. Coz anyway, even if I do take an extended leave, I know I'll still be working from home, let's be absolutely frank. Anyway, after that, I'll revert to working again 5-day weeks and accumulate some leave days again until September, since we have plans to go to Moscow and St Petersburg. Although it's all shakey at the moment (Russia having closed borders to China/people coming from Chinese territories) but hopefully by September this coronavirus situation will have sorted itself out.

Anyway, on the way back home, I thought I could treat myself to a Starbucks new thing. I don't even remember what the name is, but it must have been something about cherry blossom for it to be pink. Wasn't bad. I thought it would be super sweet, but it wasn't. Though it made me quite full and then I HAD to take a nap just now LOL. Now I'm good. I shall continue to work on that document I mentioned.
